Residential Service Mains run from the pole down to the Residential building (or private Residential pole). As you can see from the photo, they usually consist of four separate lines or have all the lines bundled together as one very thick cable. This connection provides power to the building and can have Tiger Tails fitted.
In addition to Tiger Tails, it’s important to consider where the lines connect to the building. This point is commonly referred to as the POA (Point of Attachment). If any work is being conducted near the POA, its recommended you have a rubber insulating mat fitted in addition to the Tiger Tails.
